Past Events

  • Lionel at work on an apple...Turned conventionally, with a hole drilled for the insertion of a separately turned stalk.
  • ... and on a pear. Here, the turning is from the \'pip\' end and the stalk is turned integral to the fruit. Both the apple and pear have just a raised \'pip\' turned which is then finished off with a pyrography burner.
  • Finished apple.
  • Pear
  • David Copestake also showed us an ellipse cutter he has in the late stages of construction. He also had several blanks for sale - and a lot of free ones.
  • After showing us a miniature bowl of fruit, a yet smaller bowl of fruit and preparing, with the aid of a magnifying glass, his latest \'micro\' bowl. All set, bowl placed on paper disc, magnifying glass ready .... and then he sneezed!
